Chinese Military and Coast Guard Boost Patrols Around Huangyan Dao to Safeguard Sovereignty

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command has ramped up combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace surrounding Huangyan Dao. According to a statement released on Friday, since January, the PLA has been enhancing vigilance in these strategic areas to firmly protect national sovereignty and ensure peace in the South China Sea.

On the same day, the China Coast Guard (CCG) intensified its law enforcement patrols around Huangyan Dao, reiterating its commitment to safeguarding China’s maritime rights and interests. The CCG emphasized that these increased patrols are part of ongoing efforts to maintain control over critical maritime regions and uphold national security.

These developments highlight China's persistent focus on reinforcing its presence in the South China Sea, a region marked by complex territorial claims and strategic importance. By bolstering both military and coast guard activities, China aims to ensure stability and assert its claims in these contested waters.
