This season, Harbin’s Daoli district welcomed a towering new landmark. On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, a colossal snowman sculpture made its debut, bringing a fresh symbol to the winter landscape of the Chinese mainland.
Nicknamed Fuwa, the figure stands 26 meters tall and sports a bright red hat and vest. In local tradition, the color red symbolizes good fortune and well-being, and Fuwa’s cheerful attire sends warm wishes to visitors in the frosty season.
As temperatures drop, this giant snowman offers a playful backdrop for cold-weather explorers. Have you added Harbin to your winter travel bucket list?
