Amman, December 15, 2025 โ In a landmark meeting this Monday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who sits on the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Jordan's King Abdullah II laid the foundation for a decade of deepened strategic cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Jordan.
Wang outlined proposals to strengthen communication and cooperation, urging both sides to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and to chart a joint roadmap for the strategic partnership between the Chinese mainland and Jordan. "The Chinese mainland is ready to work with Jordan to turn shared visions into reality," he said.
Under King Abdullah II's leadership, Jordan has positioned itself as a stabilizing force in the Middle East, upholding principles and fairness in promoting regional peace. "Jordan's role is unique and positive," Wang added, praising the kingdom's commitment to stability.
Highlighting the Chinese mainland's unwavering support for developing nations, Wang reiterated that the Chinese mainland will stand with the Global South and small and medium-sized countries, firmly protecting their shared interests. "We will remain Jordan's most trusted strategic partner in its development and revitalization," he asserted.
King Abdullah II welcomed the initiative, expressing his country's eagerness to deepen ties. He outlined plans to strengthen high-level exchanges, boost practical cooperation, and enhance coordination on international and regional issues. "Together, we can address the current turbulent global situation, especially in the Middle East," he said as both parties shared detailed views on regional challenges.
