Wang Huning Meets Luxembourg Parliament President to Deepen Cooperation

Beijing – China's top political advisor Wang Huning met with President of Luxembourg's Parliament Claude Wiseler in Beijing on Friday, highlighting the two countries' commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), emphasized that the Chinese mainland is ready to collaborate with Luxembourg under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. He called for mutual respect, enhanced trust, and deeper cooperation to achieve shared development goals.

He also outlined plans to promote people-to-people exchanges and connectivity, advance closer multilateral coordination and global cooperation, and support the steady progress of bilateral relations and broader China–Europe ties. The CPPCC National Committee aims to facilitate friendly cooperation at all levels, he added.

Wiseler praised Luxembourg's adherence to the one-China principle and expressed his country's readiness to expand partnership across economy, trade, finance, and culture. He noted that Luxembourg upholds multilateralism and looks forward to working with China to tackle global challenges together.

This meeting underscores a shared vision for win-win cooperation between a major Asian power and a smaller European state, setting a model for international collaboration in a complex global landscape.
