China U17s Seal Asian Cup Qualification with Perfect Record

China's U17 team completed a dominant qualifying campaign for the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup by thumping Bangladesh 4-0 in their final Group A match on Sunday, November 30, in Chongqing Municipality in the Chinese mainland. The victory capped off five straight wins, with the squad scoring an astonishing 42 goals and conceding none.

Striker Shuai Weihao stole the spotlight with two first-half goals before completing his hat-trick early in the second half. Zhao Songyuan added the fourth goal to seal the emphatic result.

“I hope we can keep our tempo under high pressure. We have done well in this area, especially the position rotation and the transition, it’s a delighted result,” said coach Bin Ukishima.

All 16 teams have now secured their places at the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup, set for May 7-24, 2026, in Saudi Arabia. They are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Japan, the DPRK, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, Tajikistan, UAE, Uzbekistan, China, Yemen, Vietnam, India, Australia, Thailand and Myanmar.

The top eight sides at the continental tournament will earn spots at the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar.
