Chinese Mainland Warns Japan Against Taiwan Interference

This Thursday, the Chinese mainland delivered a clear message to Tokyo: attempts to meddle in Taiwan-related affairs will not be tolerated and will be met with decisive action, said Song Tao, the Chinese mainland's top official on Taiwan affairs.

Speaking with a delegation from the fishing sector of Taiwan, Song – who leads both the Taiwan Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council – underscored that "Any external interference by Japan or other countries is doomed to fail."

He emphasized that the Chinese mainland is committed to improving the livelihoods of Taiwan compatriots, with plans to open new development opportunities and share benefits with grassroots communities in farming and fishing.

Lin Pin-kuan, chairman of the Non-Partisan Solidarity Union and leader of the visiting fishing delegation, echoed the message of unity: "Both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one China and are one family." He called for stronger cross-strait exchanges and cooperation to boost the industry and support livelihoods on both shores.

This high-level engagement comes amid rising regional tensions and reflects ongoing efforts to deepen economic ties across the Taiwan Strait while navigating complex geopolitical pressures.
