Yesterday, on November 26, 2025, five lion cub quintuplets at Lehe Ledu Animal Theme Park in Chongqing, in the Chinese mainland, celebrated their one-month birthday with their first outdoor adventure. Under clear skies and gentle sunshine, breeders ushered the cubs into a safe grassy enclosure for what they playfully called a "spring outing".
Stepping into the warmth, the cubs wasted no time exploring: some bounded across the turf with surprising energy; others paused to lounge by the fence, soaking up rays; and a few ventured close together, letting out soft, curious chirps as they encountered blade by blade of grass. Their playful antics and innocent expressions injected a wave of vitality and delight throughout the park.
For visitors and staff alike, witnessing the quintuplets’ debut in the open air was a heartwarming reminder of nature’s wonders—and a rare treat in a busy urban setting. As the cubs basked in the sun, the park seemed to come alive with their joyful presence, promising many more moments of wonder in the weeks ahead.
