AERO Asia 2025 opened today at the Zhuhai International Airshow Center on the Chinese mainland's southern coast in Guangdong Province. Under the theme A New Era: Explore More, the expo brings together 381 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and France.
Visitors can dive into a blended platform of exhibitions, conferences, competitions and live performances. Highlights include breathtaking aerial displays by civilian and military teams, next-generation electric vertical takeoff and landing eVTOL prototypes, and solutions driving the fast-growing low-altitude economy.
According to industry group AeroInsight, the global low-altitude economy could exceed 25 billion US dollars by 2030, powered by advances in battery technology and drone logistics. AERO Asia features panel sessions on regulation, sustainable fuels and air traffic management to navigate this emerging market.
Interactive events range from flight simulation and drone racing competitions to student design challenges, offering digital nomads, gamers and aspiring engineers hands-on experience. A startup founder said the event is more than an airshow; it's a meeting point for innovators and investors to turn bold ideas into reality.
The show runs through November 30, setting the stage for a new era in general aviation and urban mobility across G20 nations.
