Chinese mainland Showcases Natural Resources Tech Gains at 14th Five-Year Plan Exhibition

This Wednesday (November 26, 2025), an exhibition at the China Geological Museum in Beijing officially opened, marking the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021 62025) for natural resources science and technology. Organized by the Chinese mainland's Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), it celebrates significant breakthroughs achieved over the past five years.

According to the MNR, fundamental research and essential technologies have leaped forward, while domestically developed equipment and national standards have strengthened a modern natural resources management system spanning mountain peaks to the deep sea.

As the Chinese mainland looks ahead to the next plan, the exhibition offers a glimpse into how homegrown science and technology will shape resource stewardship. For young global citizens and tech enthusiasts alike, it underscores the role of innovation in tackling sustainability challenges.
