At the 2025 6G Development Conference on Thursday, officials from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the country's roadmap for next-generation mobile networks. In recent years, China has ramped up systematic research on 6G system design and network architecture, building a reserve of over 300 key technologies.
Vice Minister Zhang Yunming highlighted that more than 100 domestic and international industrial entities have joined forces. Global firms have already been invited to participate in 6G technology trials, while partnerships with Europe's 6G-IA and the Republic of Korea's 6G Forum are deepening cross-border collaboration.
This year saw the full launch of 6G standardization research, marking a critical stage that demands collective wisdom. Looking ahead, China will strengthen core R&D, advance standardization and application cultivation, and deepen industrial integration to foster vibrant 6G ecosystems.
To maximize global impact, China plans to promote cooperation on technology, standards and spectrum allocation, aiming for coordinated growth and shared benefits in the era of next-gen connectivity.
