IRGC Dismantles US-Israel ‘Anti-Security’ Network Targeting Iran

In a statement published on its official Sepah News portal this Tuesday (November 11), Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) intelligence forces announced they have identified and dismantled a so-called "anti-security" network allegedly run by U.S. and Israeli intelligence.

The IRGC said this covert network was formed by Israel in the wake of the 12-day conflict with Iran in mid-June, aiming to destabilize national security from November 6 through December 21 of this year. "Deceived individuals and traitors to their country" were recruited to carry out sabotage operations, the statement claimed.

Members of the network were arrested in coordinated raids across several Iranian provinces, though the IRGC did not specify when the operations took place or reveal the identities of those detained.

Tehran sees Israel as "the U.S. proxy" in West Asia and accuses it of shifting focus from military engagements to public security attacks after its "military failure" in June's aerial campaign.

During the 12-day clash, Israeli forces launched surprise airstrikes on June 13 targeting multiple nuclear and military sites in Iran, resulting in the deaths of senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, according to Iranian officials. Iran responded with waves of missile and drone strikes on Israel.

Just days later, on June 22, U.S. forces carried out strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. A ceasefire took effect on June 24, bringing an end to the short but intense confrontation.

With this latest announcement, the IRGC signals a new front in the shadowy intelligence battles shaping security dynamics in West Asia as the year draws to a close.
