ROK Youth Calls for Cultural & Artistic Exchange at APEC

The 32nd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting wrapped up on November 1 in the Republic of Korea, uniting 21 member economies to explore regional economic cooperation, trade facilitation and sustainable development.

For Park Ji-yu, a youth representative and rising actor with film shoots across Thailand and Japan, the summit was more than high-level talks. 'A thriving economy sets the stage for better education, jobs and services,' she says, emphasizing that young people stand to benefit the most.

Beyond economics, Park highlights the power of cultural and artistic exchange: 'Continuous exchange keeps culture and the arts thriving.' She believes international collaboration—from co-productions in film to cross-border festivals—fuels creativity and deepens mutual understanding.

As global attention shifts toward sustainable growth, voices like Park’s remind us that cultural connections are vital. For young global citizens, business innovators, creatives and travelers alike, artistic exchange offers fresh perspectives and real-world impact.
