China's Ministry of Commerce issued a call on Tuesday: the Netherlands should halt interference in internal corporate affairs and work toward a constructive resolution of the Nexperia case.
Nexperia, the overseas subsidiary of the Chinese company Wingtech, has recently faced scrutiny from Dutch regulators. A ministry spokesperson warned that if the Netherlands fails to address the dispute with concrete action, the fallout could strain the global semiconductor supply chain—a scenario unwelcome to both China and the wider industry.
China hopes this issue can be resolved responsibly, preserving strong economic and trade links between China and the Netherlands, as well as between China and Europe. Ensuring the stability and security of industrial and supply chains remains a top priority for both sides.
China made clear it would firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and work to maintain a stable, smooth global semiconductor supply chain, the spokesperson added, underscoring Beijing's commitment to cooperation and mutual benefit.
The coming weeks will reveal whether both sides can find common ground and safeguard a supply chain that underpins modern technology networks.
