Sun Yeli, Chinese President Xi Jinping’s special envoy and Minister of Culture and Tourism, flew to Giza at the invitation of the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt to attend the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Before the ceremony, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi met with Sun, who brought Xi’s cordial greetings and a congratulatory letter celebrating this landmark moment for cultural heritage.
