Caojia’ao Bridge Rotates into Place in Hubei, Advancing Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Rail

On October 21, the Caojia'ao Bridge in Macheng, Hubei, swung 60° into position over the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, marking a key milestone for the Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway. This precision move paves the way for faster, smoother connections between two major cities.

Weighing thousands of tonnes, the bridge completed the rotation in just 67 minutes, achieving millimeter-level alignment. Engineers employed cutting-edge techniques to ensure every bolt and beam matched its mark, showcasing a new benchmark in large-scale infrastructure assembly.

Once fully operational, the Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway will slash travel time between the two hubs to about one hour, transforming daily commutes and regional mobility. For young professionals and entrepreneurs, this means more flexible access to opportunities across Anhui and Hubei.

Beyond cutting-edge engineering, this project underscores how high-speed rail networks can drive economic growth, cultural exchange, and sustainable travel. As the railway edges closer to completion, global travelers and digital nomads will soon benefit from swift, eco-friendly journeys across this vibrant corridor.
