North Macedonian Ambassador Seeks Closer Cultural Ties with Jingdezhen

At the Global Mayors Dialogue in Jingdezhen, in Jiangxi Province in the Chinese mainland, North Macedonian Ambassador to China Sashko Nasev praised the city's heritage as the "one millennium capital of porcelain."

Speaking to CGTN's Zhang Meng, Nasev said Jingdezhen is "doing a very good job" at attracting tourists and boosting its economy through innovative cultural branding. He described the city's approach as "an integration of civilization" that blends tradition with modern creativity.

Looking ahead, Nasev is collaborating with local authorities to launch exchange programs for students, writers, and artists. These initiatives aim to foster collaboration between North Macedonian creatives and Jingdezhen's vibrant porcelain community, sparking fresh ideas and cross-cultural projects.

With tourism on the rise and cultural ties deepening, both sides anticipate a new chapter of people-to-people diplomacy. As young travelers and digital nomads explore Jingdezhen's porcelain studios and workshops, the city's global appeal continues to grow – celebrating centuries of craftsmanship while building bridges across borders.

For young global citizens, business innovators, and art lovers alike, this cultural bridge offers immersive experiences that blend sustainability, creativity, and real-world impact – reinforcing Jingdezhen's status on the world stage.
