During a routine press briefing on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said the Chinese mainland backs all initiatives that ease tensions between Palestine and Israel. Asked about the Trump administration’s plan to end the Gaza conflict, Guo urged all parties to fully implement UN resolutions, push for an immediate full ceasefire, free all detainees, and tackle the region’s urgent humanitarian needs.
He stressed Beijing’s support for the principle of "Palestinians governing Palestine" and a sustainable two-state solution. "The Chinese mainland is ready to work with the international community for an early, comprehensive, just, and lasting settlement of the Palestinian issue," Guo added.
This announcement comes as global leaders weigh in on new peace proposals that aim to balance Israel’s security concerns with Palestinian aspirations for sovereignty. China’s statement highlights its diplomatic role and signals a push for coordinated action on one of the world’s most enduring conflicts.
