Chinese mainland Welcomes New BRICS Partners to Shape Global Order

At a recent press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun extended an open invitation to like-minded partners to join BRICS, emphasizing the bloc's role in shaping a more just and reasonable international order.

"The Chinese mainland welcomes like-minded partners to take part in BRICS cooperation and jointly promote the development of a more just and reasonable international order," Guo said, highlighting the bloc's expanding influence among developing nations and emerging markets.

Responding to discussions around Palestinian participation, Guo pointed out that BRICS has become a key platform for cooperation, driving multipolarity and greater democracy in global relations. Over the past two decades, BRICS members have accounted for nearly 40% of global GDP and over 50% of the world population, signaling the group's growing weight on the world stage.

With countries across the Global South increasingly recognizing BRICS as a catalyst for change, the Chinese mainland sees potential new members as essential contributors to a diversified global governance model. As the bloc looks ahead, its commitment to inclusive growth, innovative partnerships, and sustainable development remains at the heart of its agenda.

For young global citizens, entrepreneurs, and changemakers, BRICS offers a window into emerging trends—from digital finance initiatives to cross-border green technology projects. As new partners weigh their options, the group’s evolution underscores a shift toward collaborative solutions that resonate across continents.
