Shenzhou-20 Crew Completes Fourth Spacewalk

Early on Friday, the Shenzhou-20 crew aboard the China Space Station carried out their fourth spacewalk, marking another milestone in human spaceflight. Astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie spent nearly six hours outside the station, completing a range of critical tasks with help from the stations robotic arm and ground control.

The EVA (extravehicular activity) began as the three astronauts floated into the vacuum of space to inspect external modules, install new equipment and run experiments that could benefit future deep-space missions. By 1:35 a.m., the team had successfully wrapped up all assignments, demonstrating precision teamwork under challenging conditions.

Beyond the technical achievements, these spacewalks are a testament to the global spirit of exploration. With each outing, the Shenzhou-20 mission gathers data on life support systems, suit performance and on-orbit constructioninsights that will shape the next generation of human space missions.

For young explorers and tech enthusiasts, these six-hour journeys remind us of our expanding frontier. What experiment or innovation would you pitch to the next ground-breaking crew venturing beyond our world?
