Chinese Premier Li Qiang Urges Stronger China-U.S. Ties

At the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Chinese premier Li Qiang highlighted the global significance of China-U.S. relations, calling them “the most important bilateral ties in the world.”

He urged both nations to “respect each other, coexist in peace, pursue win-win cooperation and achieve common prosperity through mutual success,” signaling a diplomatic push to ease tensions and enhance collaboration.

Li emphasized that economic and trade links serve as the backbone of bilateral ties. “No matter how the external environment changes, China will do its utmost to provide greater certainty for the development of foreign businesses,” he said, encouraging U.S. companies to engage with Chinese markets.

Stressing equality, respect and mutual benefit, the premier pledged to work closely with the U.S. side “to jointly promote the stabilization and improvement of China-U.S. economic and trade ties,” underlining a constructive and responsible approach to global commerce.

Amid shifting geopolitics, Li reaffirmed China’s commitment to steady economic growth and development, promising more opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors worldwide as the two powers seek balance in an interconnected world.

For global citizens, business leaders and changemakers, this call underscores a new chapter of pragmatic diplomacy and economic optimism across borders.
