Themed on “Integrated Development of Culture and Technology,” the 2025 Beijing Culture Forum kicked off on Tuesday in Beijing, the Chinese mainland. Leading voices from academia, heritage and cinema took the stage on day one.
During the main forum, Zhu Songchun, dean of the School of Intelligent Science and Technology at Peking University; Lazare Eloundou Assomo, director of UNESCO's World Heritage Centre; and renowned French director Jean-Jacques Annaud delivered speeches to hundreds of domestic and overseas guests, sharing perspectives on the convergence of culture and technology.
Over the next two days, the forum will expand into six parallel sessions, dozens of professional salons and a series of related cultural activities. Experts, representatives of leading cultural institutions, cultural figures and industry leaders from around the world are gathering to explore how digital innovation can reshape storytelling, heritage preservation and creative industries.
This two-day event marks a milestone in cross-sector collaboration, bringing together hundreds of participants committed to forging new pathways at the intersection of art and technology.
