On Monday in Warsaw, the two nations convened the fourth meeting of the Poland–China Intergovernmental Committee, co-chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
During the talks, both ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations and agreed to leverage last year’s 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties as a catalyst for further cooperation under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Poland.
Key areas for future collaboration include:
- Trade and investment: diversifying supply chains and exploring emerging sectors
- People-to-people exchanges: expanding student programs, cultural festivals and tourism
- Sustainability and innovation: joint research in green energy, digital infrastructure and startups
Both sides also marked the 50th anniversary of EU–People’s Republic of China diplomatic relations, recognizing it as a platform for EU Member States to tackle shared political and economic challenges.
In a joint statement, they reaffirmed support for an international order rooted in fundamental principles of international law, especially the UN Charter. They pledged to continue effective cooperation at major multilateral forums, including the United Nations, Asia–Europe Meeting (ASEM) and the World Trade Organization.
As global dynamics evolve, this latest intergovernmental meeting signals renewed momentum in Poland–China ties, aiming to deepen exchanges and deliver tangible impact for businesses, students and communities on both sides.
