In a showcase of advanced marine engineering, China’s independently developed offshore floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, NGUYA FLNG, was delivered in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, on the Chinese mainland, marking a significant milestone on Sunday.
At 376 meters long, 60 meters wide and 35 meters deep, this behemoth sets a new benchmark for capacity and scale. With an LNG storage capacity of 180,000 cubic meters and 45,000 cubic meters of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), NGUYA FLNG can produce up to 2.4 million tonnes of LNG annually.

The record-breaking fleet comprised 14 patrol boats and tugboats, eight law enforcement officers and three drones. Stretching over 740 meters, this convoy set a new local record for coastal towing in Nantong, highlighting China’s growing prowess in complex maritime projects.
