3,000 Innovations Unveiled at 2025 World Smart Industry Expo in Chongqing

From September 5 to 8, the 2025 World Smart Industry Expo brought together visionaries, entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts in the Chinese mainland's Chongqing Municipality, unveiling more than 3,000 innovations and over 100 first releases. This year's theme "AI+" fused cutting-edge artificial intelligence with the booming intelligent connected new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, redefining smart ecosystems for tomorrow.

At the heart of the expo, AI+ took center stage across five specialized zones:

  • Intelligent Connected NEVs: 20 leading automakers (Changan, Seres, Tesla) and 108 suppliers demoed smart driving and AI-powered cockpits.

  • Robotics: Autonomous machines showcasing dexterity, from factory automation to service bots.
  • Smart Living: Next-gen home devices and wearables enhancing comfort and sustainability.
  • Low-Altitude Economy: Drone tech meeting needs in delivery, inspection and urban air mobility.

Connecting Global Innovators

More than 550 enterprises from the Chinese mainland and abroad formed a vibrant marketplace for collaboration. Industry forums spurred discussions on standard-setting, while matchmaking sessions bridged startups with investors. The expo also unveiled over 100 new standards, products and technologies – a testament to rapid evolution in sectors like autonomous driving and clean energy mobility.
