In a vibrant celebration of Eurasian heritage, the National Museum of China in Beijing on the Chinese mainland opened a collaborative exhibition on Wednesday, bringing together 220 precious relics from museums across the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
Spanning artifacts that range from centuries-old Silk Road manuscripts and intricate textiles to ancient sculptures and ceremonial objects, the display highlights the diversity of traditions in eight SCO member states. Each relic offers a unique window into historical exchanges that have shaped art, religion, and daily life across the region.
According to museum data, more than 20 institutions contributed to the showcase, making it one of the most comprehensive cultural lineups among SCO countries. For young global citizens and business and tech enthusiasts alike, the exhibit underscores the power of heritage to inspire cross-border creativity and innovation.
Liu Wei, chief curator at the National Museum of China, notes that the relics “speak stories of trade caravans, scholarly exchanges, and shared craftsmanship that resonate with our interconnected world today.”
The exhibition runs through November 16, inviting travelers, digital nomads, students, and thought leaders to explore the depth of Eurasian culture at Beijing’s historic landmark.
