As the United Nations prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2025, CGTN and global partners have launched the "One Home: Shared Future" Visual Storytelling Initiative. The project invites young photographers, filmmakers, and digital creators from across the globe to frame and share the everyday moments that will shape humanity’s shared future.
So far, the initiative has received over 2,000 submissions from more than 100 countries and regions. In this third collection of featured works, we spotlight a diverse set of perspectives: a community-led urban garden in Berlin, a Nepali schoolgirl coding her first app, a rooftop beekeeping project in São Paulo, a family-owned textile workshop in Morocco, and a sea turtle rescue team in the Philippines. Each image shows resilience, creativity, and hope at work in our interconnected world.
Moments That Matter
Data from UNESCO shows that youth-led cultural projects have grown by 25% in the past five years, a trend echoed in these stories. From climate action to social innovation, young voices are using visual storytelling to spark dialogue and drive change. One standout photo captures a group of digital nomads in Bali collaborating on a sustainability app—illustrating how technology and travel converge to address global challenges.
Join the Movement
These snapshots remind us that every small action—planting a sapling, teaching a class, protecting wildlife—can ripple into a brighter tomorrow. As we honor eight decades of the UN, the "One Home: Shared Future" series underscores our collective power to shape what comes next.
