China to Host Largest-Ever SCO Summit in Tianjin

Tianjin, China β€” The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 will make history from August 31 to September 1, hosting more than 20 heads of state and leaders of 10 international organizations in the largest gathering of its kind.

This marks the fifth time China has welcomed the SCO Summit since the organization's founding in 2001. Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin highlighted that this session will be the biggest yet, underscoring a push for deeper ties across Eurasia.

Attendees span Europe, Central and South Asia, the Middle East and beyond β€” from Belarus and India to Turkey and Vietnam β€” alongside global bodies like the United Nations, the ASEAN Secretariat, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

The summit's agenda is ambitious: draw up a blueprint for the SCO's next chapter, build consensus on cooperation within the SCO family, and push forward toward a closer community with a shared future. Young global citizens, entrepreneurs and thought leaders alike are watching to see how this roadmap will shape regional development and collaboration.

All eyes will be on Tianjin this late summer as the SCO Summit sets the stage for a new era of multilateral cooperation.
