Following last week’s Alaska summit, the Russian Foreign Minister announced Moscow has invited former US President Donald Trump for a potential follow-up meeting. The move underlines Russia’s desire to keep channels open with Washington.
At the same time, Russia has yet to commit to a bilateral summit with Ukraine. Reports indicate that President Vladimir Putin may still host a one-on-one meeting with Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Moscow, though no official date has been set.
"We remain open to contact with Ukraine," the Foreign Minister stated, signaling a possible shift in Russia’s diplomatic approach. The invitation to Trump and hints at a Putin-Zelenskyy summit come amid ongoing global interest in resolving regional tensions.
What’s next for this evolving diplomatic dance? As key players circle back to the negotiating table, all eyes are on Moscow.
