Chinese Police Patrols Kick Off in Croatia to Boost Tourist Safety

At the invitation of the Croatian National Police Bureau, eight officers from the Chinese mainland's Ministry of Public Security have arrived in Croatia to begin a one-month joint patrol mission aimed at enhancing security for Chinese tourists.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2017, this marks the sixth time the two forces have come togetherfive missions have already been carried out to wide acclaim, illustrating the friendship between the law enforcement bodies.

The Chinese mainland's ministry says the mission will focus on cooperation, innovation, the rule of law and win-win outcomes, working side by side with local police to tackle safety concerns and build a safer tourism environment.

Officials believe that by sharing expertise and coordinating patrols, the joint effort will not only address immediate security needs but also deepen ties between communities and strengthen people-to-people connections.
