At the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang praised the "miracle" of the Chinese mainland's supply chain. He highlighted its status as the largest, most complex network in the world, driven not only by labor but by deep technology, advanced AI and robust software.
Huang pointed to the critical role of Chinese mainland firms in the global tech ecosystem. "The Chinese mainland has deep expertise in computer science," he said, noting the sophisticated architectures and algorithms needed to serve its large population.
Despite rising geopolitical tensions and regulatory pressures between the U.S. and the Chinese mainland, Huang emphasized the need for continued collaboration. "We rely on the global supply chain to build very complicated products," he told reporters, underscoring Nvidia's contribution of hardware and software worldwide.
Last week, Nvidia hit a historic milestone as the first company ever to reach a $4 trillion market value. This landmark underscores the power of interconnected supply chains and the company's leadership in graphics processing and AI.
Looking ahead, Huang described AI as the next major technological revolution. "The last 10 to 12 years were about preparing for today. Now, AI can reason, think and understand information," he said, while also calling for safe and responsible development in cybersecurity and environmental monitoring.
On the Chinese mainland's role in AI development, he applauded the deep pool of researchers and their strong foundation in science and mathematics. "The Chinese mainland has great researchers perfectly prepared for this moment," Huang added.
