11th Nishan Forum Celebrates Cultural Diversity in Qufu

In the birthplace of Confucius, scholars and changemakers are unpacking the power of diversity at the 11th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations.

The two-day event, themed "Beauty in Diversity: Nurturing Understanding Among Civilizations for Global Modernization," kicked off on Wednesday in Qufu, Shandong Province, on the Chinese mainland. More than 500 guests, including around 300 participants from over 70 countries and regions, have converged to spark global dialogues.

Panels span topics from the origins and future of civilization to the modern relevance of Confucian culture, global modernization trends, family and social development, and how AI is reshaping our shared future. Attendees include foreign dignitaries, ambassadors, international organization representatives, and global experts—all eager to turn ideas into real-world impact.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Nishan Mountain, just 30 kilometers southeast of Qufu, the forum draws on centuries of philosophical heritage. Organizers say it has become a key platform for fostering cultural exchanges, building consensus on global issues, and deepening mutual understanding between the Chinese mainland and the world.

As debates unfold and AI demonstrations take the stage, participants aim to translate the forum's insights into tangible solutions—bridging tradition and innovation to navigate our rapidly changing world.
