China Snaps Skid with 97-78 Win Over Jordan at FIBA U19

China snapped its five-game losing streak at the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland, defeating Jordan 97-78 in a high-energy classification game. The win marks the first victory for the Chinese side in the tournament and injects fresh optimism ahead of their next matchup.

Stepping in for injured point guard Zhu Zheng, playmaker Yang Yi delivered a masterclass in floor orchestration. Although he missed all five of his field-goal attempts, Yang recorded 17 assists—a new single-game World Cup record—ensuring every teammate played a role in the offense.

Zhang Boyuan poured in 22 points, Huan Sinan added 16 points and five blocks, and Chen Jiazheng (17 points) and Cui Xinquan (14 points) provided crucial support. China carried an 81-54 lead through three quarters and withstood a late Jordan rally to secure the win.
