UAE’s KEZAD Group Seeks Deeper Ties with Chinese Mainland Firms

At the 6th Qingdao Multinationals Summit, held in the coastal city known for its open economy, leaders from around the world gathered to explore new trade corridors. Among them was the UAE’s KEZAD Group, a key player in Abu Dhabi’s free zone network.

Fatima Al Hammadi, chief commercial officer of KEZAD Group, told CGTN: “We have signed many agreements and want to further expand collaboration with Chinese mainland companies. The potential for joint ventures in logistics, renewable energy and digital trade is enormous.”

According to summit organisers, trade flows between the UAE and the Chinese mainland have been rising steadily, driven by growing port operations and digital platforms. For KEZAD Group, the next step is co-developing facilities that link Abu Dhabi’s strategic location with the Chinese mainland market.

The move reflects a broader trend of innovation-driven partnerships between Gulf free zones and Chinese mainland firms. As the UAE positions itself as a global trade hub, fresh collaborations in smart manufacturing, green logistics and tech startups could redefine how products and services move across continents.

“Our vision is to create seamless trade corridors that benefit both regions,” Al Hammadi added. “By combining KEZAD Group’s infrastructure with the Chinese mainland’s industrial expertise, we can unlock new opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors worldwide.”
