From June 19 to 21, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang will join the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a pivotal gathering for global economic governance and cooperation.
Invited by the government of the Russian Federation and announced by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, Ding—who also serves on the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee—will take part in forum activities and engage in talks with key Russian leaders.
This year's theme, "Shared Values: The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World," highlights a collective push for solutions to global challenges. Young entrepreneurs, tech innovators and policy makers will explore how shared principles can drive sustainable growth, digital transformation and more equitable globalization.
According to Guo, China aims to strengthen communication and exchanges, consolidate consensus on cooperation, and advance an equal and orderly world multipolarization. By promoting inclusive economic globalization and the common values of humanity, Beijing seeks to inject fresh energy into global governance and prosperity.
China is also ready to work closely with Russia to implement the important consensus reached by both heads of state, deepen practical cooperation across industries, and further its comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era.
As SPIEF gets under way, the big question for young global citizens and entrepreneurs is: what will these high-level exchanges mean for emerging markets, digital partnerships and sustainable development worldwide?
