Analyst: Israel-Iran Air Strikes Unlikely to Ignite Ground War

The Middle East saw a dramatic spike in tensions as Iran launched an air strike on Tel Aviv. This move came in direct retaliation for Israel’s massive attacks on Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure.

Amid the tit–for–tat exchange, Zhang Chuchu, associate professor at Fudan University’s School of International Relations and Public Affairs, offers a note of caution: “The situation is contained within a controlled scope. It’s unlikely to escalate into a full–scale ground war.”

For now, both capitals appear to be sending strong messages without tipping into a broader ground offensive. Global watchers remain alert, but for many experts, the risk of a full–blown war remains contained—for the time being.
