Beijing to Open World’s First Embodied AI Robot 4S Store

At the upcoming 2025 World Robot Conference in Yizhuang, southern Beijing, visitors will step into a futuristic showroom unlike any other: the world's first embodied AI robot 4S store. Inspired by the automobile industry's 4S model—sales, service, spare parts and surveys—this facility offers a complete lifecycle for advanced humanoid machines.

Inside the 4S store, scenario-based demonstration zones and immersive interaction spaces let customers test robots in settings ranging from retail and healthcare to logistics. Behind the scenes, a nationwide rapid-response parts supply network and a dedicated support team ensure maintenance, assembly and repair run seamlessly.

Interest is high: over 100 supply chain enterprises in the robotics sector have signed up to join the park, including 30 firms specializing in humanoid robots. Ten leading embodied AI robot developers—such as the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, UBTECH and Galaxea—are set to be among the first partners to move in.

"Establishing the world's first 4S store for embodied AI robots marks a key step in building a vibrant robotics ecosystem in Yizhuang," says Liang Liang, deputy director of Yizhuang's administrative committee. "It paves the way for rapid growth of robotics firms and elevates the district's influence on the global stage."

Yizhuang already hosts more than 300 robotics and smart manufacturing enterprises and anchors the permanent site of the World Robot Conference. Its industry chain is valued at over 10 billion yuan—about half of Beijing's total robotics market.

The district has a knack for global firsts: earlier this year, it hosted the world's first humanoid robot half-marathon, where 20 robotics teams joined human athletes over 21.0975 kilometers. Tiangong Ultra, developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, crossed the finish line in 2:40:42, capturing the headline.

As the robotics revolution gains momentum, Yizhuang's 4S store model offers a blueprint for how technology hubs worldwide can bridge innovation, industry and immersive experiences for entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts and curious travelers alike.
