China’s Top Diplomat Meets UAE President’s Special Envoy in Beijing

Beijing: China's top diplomat Wang Yi met Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the special envoy of the president of the United Arab Emirates to China, on Wednesday. The talk highlighted a mutual drive to deepen the China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, praised the “sound development momentum” of bilateral ties under the strategic guidance of both heads of state. He said China is ready to support the UAE on its core interests, expand cooperation in various fields, coordinate closely on international and regional affairs, and push for deeper strategic ties.

Al Mubarak responded that the UAE is eager to strengthen high-level exchanges and advance the comprehensive strategic partnership. He affirmed the UAE's adherence to the one-China principle and its commitment to maintaining independence and autonomy while collaborating with China.
