The 4th China–Central and Eastern European Countries Expo kicked off in Ningbo, shining a spotlight on cross-regional trade. Milko Zivkovic, editor-in-chief of North Macedonia’s leading newspaper, Nova Makedonija, sat down with CGTN’s Cui Yingjie to discuss the event.
According to Zivkovic, the expo offers North Macedonian brands a rare chance to boost their visibility in the Chinese mainland market. From artisanal foods to innovative startups, the event presents an ideal window for Balkan businesses to make their mark.
Zivkovic also extended a warm invitation to Chinese tourists, highlighting North Macedonia’s stunning landscapes—from pristine lakes nestled among rugged mountains to vibrant cultural festivals. He welcomed visitors to taste authentic Balkan flavours and explore hidden gems off the beaten path.
As the China–CEEC Expo brings together policymakers and entrepreneurs, North Macedonia hopes to write a new chapter in its trade story—one that bridges the Balkans and the booming Chinese mainland market.
