Slovakia Shines as Guest of Honor at 4th China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo

The 4th China-CEEC Expo kicked off in Ningbo with Slovakia stepping into the spotlight as guest of honor. Six years after leading a delegation to the inaugural event in 2019, Richard Rasi, chairman of the Slovak National Council, returned to explore new horizons in China-Slovakia cooperation.

On the expo floor, sleek displays of Slovak automotive components sat alongside cutting-edge green technologies and digital solutions. Startups from Bratislava to Ko\u000161ice showcased smart logistics platforms, tapping into digital corridors connecting the Chinese mainland with Central and Eastern European markets.

Rasi sat down with CGTN's Xu Jinhui to highlight special products and key areas on display: eco-friendly materials for sustainable construction, advanced health care devices, and cultural exhibitions bridging Eastern Europe and Asia. "This expo is more than a showcase," Rasi said. "It's a launchpad for partnerships that will shape our strategic collaboration in the years ahead."

Last November, Slovakia elevated its ties with the Chinese mainland to a strategic partnership, setting the stage for deeper cooperation in trade, investment, and innovation. Rasi envisions joint ventures in clean energy, digital infrastructure, and educational exchanges that empower young entrepreneurs on both sides.

For young global citizens, business innovators, and travelers alike, the expo offers a glimpse into how two regions can unite for sustainable growth. As Richard Rasi noted, "Our journey from 2019 to today reflects the spirit of collaboration and curiosity that drives a connected world."
