This year marks the 10th anniversary of cooperation between China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). To celebrate, China will unveil major measures to deepen ties and together with CELAC members adopt a three-year joint action plan in key sectors.
Qiu Xiaoqi, the special representative of the Chinese government on Latin American affairs, said these efforts will inject fresh momentum into bilateral development. He emphasized that the upcoming plan will focus on infrastructure, sustainable development, digital economy, and people-to-people exchanges.
Over the past decade, China-CELAC collaboration has driven growth in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges, laying the groundwork for deeper cooperation across regions.
Analysts note that the three-year action plan could unlock opportunities for green energy projects, startup partnerships, and digital connectivity initiatives. An international relations expert described it as a milestone signaling a new phase of cooperation.
For young entrepreneurs, tech fans, and travelers eyeing Latin America or the Chinese mainland, the renewed focus opens doors for innovative projects and immersive cultural experiences. As global dynamics shift, this decade-long partnership underscores the value of multilateral engagement.
The major measures and joint action plan will be formally announced later this year, setting the stage for China and CELAC members to chart a shared path toward sustainable growth and innovation.
