Beijing Guoan continued their hot streak with a 2-0 triumph over Dalian Yingbo on Monday, marking their fourth consecutive victory in the Chinese Super League (CSL) and solidifying an unbeaten start.
The first breakthrough came in the 19th minute when Guga whipped in a dangerous cross from the left flank. Wang Ziming rose highest to head home, silencing the home crowd at Dalian’s stadium in Liaoning Province.
Just three minutes later, Beijing doubled their lead courtesy of a well-worked move down the right. Wang Gang’s low cross deflected into the path of Fabio Abreu, who powered in a second header to put the visitors firmly in control.
Substitute Zhang Yuning made his mark late on, winning a penalty in the 82nd minute—though Dalian keeper Sui Weijie managed to keep the scoreline intact by saving the spot-kick.
Despite missing out on a third goal, Beijing Guoan secured their sixth win of the season and remain third in the table, trailing only Chengdu Rongcheng and Shanghai Shenhua.
With momentum on their side, Beijing look poised to challenge for the CSL title, showcasing consistency that could set the pace as the season heats up.
