Russia on Tuesday held the first rehearsal for the upcoming Victory Day military parade in Moscow. This event marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russia's term for World War II.
Officials have scheduled two additional rehearsals on May 3 and May 7 as preparations build toward the main event on Red Square on May 9.
Every year on May 9, Russia commemorates the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany with grand military parades, with the central ceremony in Moscow's Red Square.
