China to Counter U.S. Bullying, Deepening Ties with Tajikistan

At the Sixth China-Central Asia Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Almaty, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi declared that China will continue to push back against unilateral U.S. pressure. He framed this stance as a defense not only of China's own interests but also of the shared principles of global fairness and justice.

As a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Wang emphasized China's commitment to free trade and its opposition to protectionism. Under the strategic guidance of both heads of state, he highlighted that cooperation with Tajikistan has already delivered positive results, from infrastructure projects to people-to-people exchanges.

Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin noted that his country is ready to harness bilateral cooperation mechanisms, advance the Belt and Road Initiative, and boost collaboration in areas like e-commerce, green transformation and healthcare. He said Tajikistan plans to welcome more Chinese enterprises and identify innovative growth points.

Both ministers also agreed to strengthen border controls and counterterrorism efforts, support the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the China-Central Asia mechanism, and work together on global issues such as glacier preservation. For young global citizens and entrepreneurs, these moves signal fresh opportunities in trade corridors, sustainable projects and regional stability.

As China balances its global trade ambitions with a firm stance against U.S. policies, the deepening China-Tajik ties showcase how strategic partnerships can reshape economic and security landscapes across Central Asia.
