Wang Yi Urges China, Britain to Defend Post‑WWII Order

In a Tuesday phone call with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi urged both sides to uphold the post‑World War II order amid rising unilateral bullying.

Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the shared responsibility of China and Britain to defend the UN‑centered international system and safeguard the multilateral trading framework.

At a time when one‑sided power plays threaten global cooperation, the call underscores the need for major players to lead by restoring faith in multilateralism and the rules‑based order.
