In a thrilling finale at the ISSF World Cup in Lima, China's mixed 10-meter air rifle duo Wang Zifei and Song Buhan clinched the bronze medal on Sunday, edging out their compatriots in a showdown that underscored China's depth in shooting sports.

The two Chinese mixed teams, Wang and Song and Du Yuchen with Fang Shengjian, advanced to the final after top performances in qualification rounds. In the medal match, Wang and Song outshot Du and Fang with a decisive 16-4 score, securing their place on the podium and delighting fans back home.

Over in the gold-medal match, Norway's Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg edged out India's Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Arya Borse with a 17-11 victory, showcasing the growing competitiveness of European shooters.

Meanwhile, in the shotgun events, American shooter William Hinton claimed the men's trap title, besting Italy's Mauro De Filippis and Croatia's Giovanni Cernogoraz for gold. On the women's side, Guatemala's Adriana Ruano took the top spot, followed by Italy's Silvana Stanco and Spain's Mar Molne Magrina.
