China's President Xi Jinping concluded his first overseas trip of the year with visits to Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia, a landmark tour aimed at strengthening regional ties.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, praised the journey as a crucial stride toward building a community with a shared future. He told reporters on Friday that “We've taken a significant step forward in building a community with a shared future with our neighboring countries.”

Wang noted that each host country responded positively and with great attention to the message of cooperation, underscoring Beijing's commitment to deeper dialogue and partnership across Southeast Asia.

As nations seek new pathways for economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges, this tour sets the stage for enhanced collaboration at a time when global connectivity and mutual understanding matter more than ever.
