China Pavilion Dazzles at Osaka Expo 2025

On Sunday, the China Pavilion officially opened at Osaka Expo 2025 in a ceremony attended by around 300 guests. The pavilion, inspired by the elegant curves of traditional Chinese calligraphy scrolls, immediately captivates with its blend of cultural heritage and modern design.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, expressed strong support for Japan as it hosts the expo. He emphasized that the pavilion's exhibitions aim to project a confident and open image of China and contribute to a more equal and inclusive global future.

Bureau International des Expositions Secretary General Dimitri Kerkentzes noted that visitors will embark on a journey through China’s rich cultural heritage, ancient wisdom, and cutting-edge innovations. In addition, Masakazu Tokura, Chairperson of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Expo, highlighted the event as a launchpad for future-oriented international cooperation.

The opening ceremony featured traditional cultural performances, including an energetic lion dance and the evocative dance drama "The Crested Ibis." Alongside these performances, the pavilion offers a variety of exhibits such as lunar soil samples from the Chang'e-5 and Chang'e-6 missions, a state-of-the-art Jiaolong deep-sea submersible experience capsule, and next-generation humanoid robots.

Covering approximately 3,500 square meters, the pavilion is divided into three sections that showcase China’s traditional ecological wisdom, modern green development initiatives, and its vision for global cooperation in building a sustainable future. Osaka Expo 2025, running from April 13 to October 13, promises to be an immersive experience that bridges tradition with innovation and fosters international dialogue.
