Lin Wenmeng, president of the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce, revealed that the community has raised approximately 1 billion Myanmar Kyat (around 3.4 million yuan) by Sunday to help those in need.
Despite this remarkable contribution, there remains an urgent call for additional medical supplies to further assist with relief efforts. Speaking to CGTN from Yangon on March 30, Lin emphasized that every possible measure is being taken by the community to alleviate the suffering in the aftermath of the disaster.
