Elena Burova Leads Effort to Rescue Moscow’s 35,000 Stray Animals Post-Lockdown

After the lockdown in Moscow, strict restrictions confined people indoors, resulting in approximately 35,000 stray animals being left without care.

Elena Burova, a dedicated journalist from the Russian capital, has taken the initiative to help these stray dogs. With the support of a team of volunteers and compassionate strangers from across the city, she ensures that these animals receive the necessary care to survive the challenging aftermath of the pandemic.
