China Energy Investment Corporation is making a significant impact in South Africa by establishing a kindergarten and supporting the country's largest wind power project. Through its subsidiary, China Longyuan Power Group, the corporation has set up a kindergarten that serves 20 children with the help of four dedicated teachers across six classrooms.
In a recent open day event organized by China Longyuan Power Group, staff members engaged with the local community by dancing and chatting via video with children and teachers at the kindergarten. The event also featured a visit to the De Aar wind power project, highlighting South Africa's strides towards sustainable energy solutions.
Since its establishment in 2015, the kindergarten has benefited from donated educational supplies and meal sponsorships provided by China Longyuan Power Group, especially during the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. These initiatives reflect the corporation's commitment to fostering education and sustainable development in the region.
